Leather does not stretch the way fabric does. Getting your size right before you order matters more for a leather jacket than almost any other garment. This guide covers every measurement, every style, both genders, and includes a size recommender that accounts for your build and preferred fit.

How to take your measurements
Use a flexible tape measure. Measure over light clothing or directly on skin — never over a jacket or thick layer.
Chest / Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level under the armpits. Keep arms relaxed at your sides. Tape should sit snugly — not tight.
Most important measurement for jacket sizing.
Waist
Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, typically 2–3cm above your navel. Stand straight, breathe normally. Do not suck in.
Hip may be more relevant for longer jacket styles.
Body length
From the highest point of your shoulder straight down to where you want the jacket hem to fall — natural waist or hip depending on style.
Biker/café racer sit short; bombers/shearlings sit at hip.
Sleeve length
With arm slightly bent, measure from the top of your shoulder seam point, down along the outside of the arm, to your wrist bone. Have someone help if possible.
Measure with arm bent slightly — straight-arm runs long.
Shoulder width
Measure from the edge of one shoulder seam point straight across the back to the other. Keep the tape flat. Critical for how the jacket hangs.
Narrow shoulders cannot be altered — get this right.
Hips (women)
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat — typically 18–23cm below your natural waist. Stand with feet together.
Relevant for shearling, trench, and longer bomber styles.
Measure yourself, not your existing jacket. Jacket measurements include ease (extra room built in) — measuring your current jacket adds ease on top of ease and sizes you too large. Always measure your body directly.

All measurements are finished garment measurements — your body measurement should be 2–4cm smaller than the chest column.

Biker and café racer jackets are cut with a fitted, close-to-body profile. If you prefer more freedom of movement or wear thick layers underneath, size up one. Bomber and shearling styles include more ease by design.

Understanding fit types
Fitted
Slim / close fit
Designed to follow your body shape closely. Minimal ease — typically 2–4cm at the chest. Will feel snug when zipped. Requires precise sizing.
Styles: biker, café racer, moto blazer
If between sizes: size up. A slim jacket that's too small cannot be worn; one slightly large looks intentional.
Regular
Regular / standard fit
The most forgiving cut — moderate ease of 4–6cm at the chest. Comfortable over a light to medium layer. Works for most body types.
Styles: bomber, varsity, flight aviator
If between sizes: go with your chest measurement. Waist can always be belted if needed.
Relaxed
Relaxed / generous fit
Designed to be worn over heavier layers. Substantial ease of 6–10cm. Shearling styles have more room to accommodate the bulk of the lining.
Styles: shearling bomber, leather trench
If between sizes: size down. Shearling adds visual bulk — most people need one size smaller than regular.
Style-specific sizing notes
Biker / Perfecto
Cut close to the body. Shoulder width is the hardest measurement to alter — prioritise shoulder fit. If you wear a UK M in most jackets, size M or L depending on chest. Sleeve cuffs sit tight by design.
Bomber
More relaxed than the biker — includes 5–6cm of chest ease. The ribbed hem and cuffs will stretch slightly over time. Body length is shorter than a standard jacket — hemline sits at the natural waist. Long torsos: size up for extra length.
Café racer
The most body-conscious silhouette. Designed to sit flush against the torso when arms are forward. Wearers over 185cm / 6'1" often benefit from a long-arm option — contact our bespoke team before ordering.
Shearling bomber
The shearling lining adds approximately 1–2cm of physical bulk compared to a leather bomber of the same nominal size. Most customers go down one size from their regular jacket size. The shearling collar is generous by design.
Flight / aviator
Similar sizing to the shearling bomber. The shearling collar adds bulk at the neck — shorter necks may find the collar feels tall. Body is cut generously for layering. Size down if wearing over a single layer only.
Varsity jacket
The wool body has some give; the leather sleeves do not. Use shoulder width to anchor your size choice. Tall or long-torso wearers: the hem may sit slightly shorter than expected. Custom length available through bespoke service.
Women's biker
Cut with a defined waist and slightly shorter body than men's styles. Shoulder width runs slightly narrower — broader shoulders should check the shoulder measurement and consider sizing up. Petite and tall variants available through bespoke.
Leather trench
Our longest style — falls to mid-thigh on most wearers. Sized to the bust; belt cinches the waist. Check the body length column carefully and measure how far mid-thigh falls on your body before ordering.
